Tangled Web

I really admire anyone who is adventurous with their prints. The cut and print of this Marcs Web Print Silk Dress combine to make an amazing piece that is not at all too casual or comic book like.

Let the dress shine, by keeping the accessories simple:

Rugby Stripes

Rugby stripes and sequins combine to make this amazing sweater. Which I would wear both day and night - if only J.Crew shipped to Australia.

High End / Low End

Flicking through style magazines, you will notice the fashion set talking about mixing high end fashion with budget finds. But where do they find those amazing high end pieces that look like they're one offs?

I think perhaps from Forward Forward, where everything pictured above is currently on sale.

Making a Statement

Statement necklaces have the ability to transform even the simplest of outfits. My current favourite, an eclectic mix of yellow, turquoise and silver was discovered at a market stall in India. Try Lovisa or Topshop for art deco and tribal inspired options.

Vineet Bahl

So pleased to have come across the talented Vineet Bahl. The following looks are from his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The colours! The patterns!

Modern, Meet Vintage

I came across the following feature on Marlien Rentmeester's home in Lucky Magazine. Marlien, Lucky's West Coast editor, has done an unbelievable job of combining modern with vintage to achieve such a colourful and livable home. I have lost count of the number of times I must have read this article. It has inspired me to start the hunt for my own vintage pieces to bring colour and texture into my life. Keep a look out here for posts on what I manage to unearth.

Pirate's Treasure

Just had to get this metallic Skull Money Box this week.

Adds quirk to whichever room you display it in, and you can save for something to add to your own treasure collection. The House of Harlow 1960 Olivia Clutch perhaps. In red crocodile embossed leather. Of course.

That 70's Shoe

How wonderful are these Pour La Victoire platforms? The navy / brown colour combo is so seventies and exactly what I would imagine was worn by Bianca Jagger, Marisa Berenson et al. Pair with a dark wash denim flare. My favourites? Hudson.
